It may be advisable to begin with a Feasibility Study. The aim of this study is to give surety to the client that the brief is appropriate and the project deliverable, giving them confidence to take the project forward to the next stage.

The Feasibility Study is where much of the analysis is undertaken and the foundation of the design solution is laid. The objective of a Feasibility Study is to develop the brief by:

  • Establishing the constraints – primarily those arising from the site and any statutory considerations
  • Recognising the opportunities - such as history, location, orientation, scale, form, materiality and sustainability.
